Golf Academy NewsProgram RegistrationsGet Into Golf Clinics The “Get into Golf” clinic format is a cost effective way for new or experienced golfers to improve. Clinics can be ladies, men’s or mixed. There are 3 levels which cover all aspects of the game including: full swing / driving, long game, chipping / pitching, putting, course management, rules, etiquette and on course play. NSW / ACT Teaching Pro of The YearCongratulations to Kurt Stegbauer who won the prestigious 2009 NSW / ACT PGA teacher of the year award, ahead of six others, and received it from PGA legend Alex Mercer. The Award was presented at the annual NSW PGA Awards night held at Elanora Golf club on 28th January 2010.
"It's a great honour to receive this award", Kurt said. "It's a nice feeling being in the winners circle again, especially not having played any tournament golf since 1997. I love it an enjoy developing the game" "Coming from a playing background I know how important the game was to me and I know that when I went for a golf lesson my expectations were very high of that person teaching me". Kurt says he gets a buzz out of seeing his pupils lower their handicap. "The satisfaction is seeing golfers improve. I don't care if it's a pro or the average punter off 45 " Kurt says. Mike has a worked with Olympic Gold Medallists and World Champions as Head of Performance Psychology at the Australian Institute of Sport. He also has a long history in golf and has been to And while he’s worked with some of golf’s superstars, including a US Open winner, Mike also works with a number of middle and low handicappers who are serious about their game. He says “it takes so long to conquer golf’s mental game by trial-and-error, but you can easily build confidence, focus and playing consistency with simple mental game coaching.
