Coaching - Primary School Golf (Introductory Classes)

Our ‘GOLFUN’ Primary Schools program is a fun, non-threatening program which suits kids of all ages and physical abilities. It is an introductory level of golf aimed at juniors who wish to participate in a sporting activity in a fun and safe environment.

Every primary school is being offered a FREE  SSGA Junior Golf session/s for all your year 3 classes. This offer is available to be used during 2013 terms … so why not take advantage of this special offer and let us introduce golf to your students.

A fully qualified Golf Professional will come to your school and run the 1 hour sessions at your school on nearby oval. The emphasis is on having a go and having fun, with minimum emphasis on technique.

All equipment is supplied and is specifically designed for children and safety, including;

• left and right hand clubs,
• coloured soft balls for safe use with children,
• rubber tees,
• synthetic grass golf mats to protect the grass,
• hula hoop, roped and flagged hitting target areas.

As well as lots of fun games the program also includes competitions & prizes. Juniors who wish to continue their involvement in golf can join the SSGA “Tiger Cubs” junior golf program which is run on weekends.

The benefits of having our junior program come to your school are:

• The SSGA has the best PGA coaches in Australia, led by renowned junior coach and 2009 PGA coach of the Year, Kurt Stegbauer and his assistant AAA coach Darren Chapman.
• We setup a modified golf program which emphasizes fun and safety.
• Golf is a game for life. The kids will learn a range of physical skills as well as golf etiquette.
• The kids will be given an opportunity to further their skills at the Ridge Golf Course/Driving range.

The sessions can be conducted at your school or at a local oval nearby.
